Tyrolean rail projects .....

am I recently during a letter to the editor by Mr. DI Stumreich once again met with his project of a West Tiroler Alpentransversale http://alpentransversale.sodala.net/RB-alles_d.PDF . His ideas should

not forget, especially since there is a defined already by the Via Claudia name. Via Claudia is my Chekhov's gun and shot * it could be the implementation of this rail project.

Now the only prophecy of the priest measure of flow ( Internet resource ) who want to ensure to quote the Friends of the uninhibited Automobiles:

- When the Inn by flowing through the mountain passes to Landeck, then did not take long. (which was now the power plant Prutz or soon will the bypass tunnel flooded Landeck?)
- About the Reschenpaß will try three times to build a railroad, and every time at start of construction of the war will break out and defeat all. (There were 2 tests already, is the expansion of Reschenstrasse as the third attempt?)
- It will be building of the Inn Valley in the Pitztal into a bridge. But it will not be quite finished, there begins the great world catastrophe. There (a bridge, it already ....)

What we can not know certainly, whether priest would have made measure from his then view a difference between track and street car is in any case ..... I tend to assess that a road-construction phases of the transport project (keyword highway Ulm Milan) a more effective contribution to the initiation of Doomsday is ;-)

PS: On 29/12/2010 TT is in the following letter to the editor published what I first recalled the witty commentary (presumably by Karl Valentin), "The future is no longer what it once was."

The letter from Mr Zimmerman on 12/29/2010

What is being addressed in transport projects in recent past is striking. However, the type of traffic management, as they envisioned the Altlandeshauptmann Wallnöfer time now obsolete. I think he has already incurred decades earlier railway projects wisely to the zeitgeist of the sixties, according to adapted and propagated just Alemagna or expressway Ulm-Milan. Road projects, then over the following years were to scare ghosts.
If you want these projects to take up again today, they would only in modernized versions of the source projects - as new rail lines - acceptable in the sense of the Alpine Convention (which is indirectly via the ARGE-Alp on Eduard Wallnöfer due). And there are also individual, yet little fruitful efforts in this direction, such as (planned, unfortunately North Tyrol around) the proposed extension of the Rhaetian Railway to time, the project of a "railway Alpine Transversal Reutte-Bergamo or are considering reconstruction of the Dolomites as standard gauge railway track.
The road projects of our time arise, a nostalgic, backward-looking expectations, it could be used to bring out the spirit of the sixties departure from his grave. But Wallnöfer - I'm sure - now would be no roads, but railroads built. We can go revive his departure spirit in which we referred to "his time" these new routes.
